Royal Doulton is a classic English brand name in tableware since 1815 when the company was founded by John Doulton in Lambeth, London. The brand started from humble beginnings and by 1901 the company was granted a Royal warrant by the king, Edward VII and was now able to call themselved “Royal Doulton”.

In 2005 Royal Doulton merged with the Waterford Wedgwood group of companies to create Waterford Wedgwood Royal Doulton (WWRD). Even though the brand is no longer family owned the family still remains involved, with Michael Doulton making regular appearances around the world talking with Royal Doulton collectors.

WWRD constantly partners with various designers including Vera Wang, Gordon Ramsay, and even Ellen DeGeneres to create various tableware and decorative products.
